I don't know about you, but my iPod has become a marvelous resource in my spiritual walk.
When you think about it, it is incredible that with our computers/iPod, we have the ability to tap into Christianity's greatest minds.
My wife and I sit down for devotions, three times each week, in addition to our own personal studies.
These are the things that I/we are currently studying:
- Book of II Peter - a new video series by Jamie Rasmussen, our senior pastor at Scottsdale Bible Church (starts this Sunday)
- Gospel of John - a weekly video by John Piper.
- Gospel of Matthew - a weekly podcast by Albert Mohler.
- Book of Revelation - a weekly series by Mark Dever.
- The Beatitudes - a current series by Steve Lawson.
- Book of Ephesians - a current series by Chuck Swindoll.
- The Bible - a year-long journey through the ESV Study Bible.
- Waiting on God - blogging my way through Andrew Murray's book.
I suppose this might seem like a lot, but it really isn't. I invest:
- about 90 minutes each day in personal study
- three hours each week with my wife
- 6 hours each week in the gym (includes going to/from)
- Sundays at my local church
I would love to hear from you. What are you studying/listening to/watching for your personal devotion times?
