"Saint Augustine" c 1480, by Sandro Botticelli
Saint Augustine (Augustine of Hippo - Nov 13, 354 - Aug 28, 430) is one of Christianity's pillars and very early church fathers.
Augustine started out his life living as a pagan intellectual, later converting to Christianity only to become one of the minds in which, hundreds of centuries later, the Reformation would be built upon.
With so much post-modern drivel masquerading as truth, Augustine stands as a 1700 year old beacon pointing towards the Christ of the Bible.
With his perspective so much closer in time, to that of the Saviour, we must read and hear from this most brilliant mind.
Christian Audio, for the month of August, is offering a free audio download of The Confessions of St. Augustine (Unabridged).
I have downloaded the files and look forward to hearing from Augustine as I put in my four work-outs during the week.
