One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after:

Top 12 American Idol finalist, Scott MacIntyre, has inspired me to be a little more vulnerable.
So...here it goes.
Twenty plus years ago, my wife and I were in Nashville. As we walked down the street, we noticed that they had they recording studios that you could walk into, right off the street, and make a recording.
My wife begged me to make her a recording. After MUCH persuasion, I succumbed to her wishes.
Now, understand, I just walked in off the street, AND, I was singing to a woman so beautiful that it takes your breath away.
Therefore, I was a little shaky in the beginning, as I was trying to gather my composure.
So...here it is....Boomer Idol!
Be kind Simon Cowell!
I placed the audio recording behind the front page, so that it doesn't make my page take so long to load.
Continue on to hear the Boomer singing sweet love songs to his wife...
Maestro John Williams arranged a piece based on Aaron Copeland's arrangement of the old Shaker Tune "Simple Gifts" as "Variations on a Shaker Melody". Yo-Yo Ma performs along with Itzhak Perlman on violin, Gabriela Montero on piano and Anthony McGill on clarinet.
'Tis the gift to be simple,
'Tis the gift to be free,
'Tis the gift to come down where we ought to be,
And when we find ourselves in the place just right,
It will be in the valley of love and delight.
When true simplicity is gained,
to bow and to bend, we will not be ashamed
To turn, turn, will be our delight,
'Til by turning, turning, we come round right.
