All of us have at the core of our being a desperate longing. Furthermore, all of us act in ways to find the source, and the meaning of this longing.
The Scriptures teach us that this longing came from our separation from God in Eden. Jesus Christ then came, as God incarnate, to teach us that God has an ultimate will for each of us. And that will is to completely satisfy this longing that we all corporately share.
The most surprising thing is the way in which God has chosen to do this.
