Here we have King Solomon, Ecclesiastes (Greek for preacher), or Kohelet (Hebrew for preacher), recording for us his personal journal.
1 Kings 11:41 - Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, and all that he did, and his wisdom, are they not written in the Book of the Acts of Solomon?
If you had the chance to read the journal of the world's richest, and wisest man; a man to whom the Queen of Sheba made a pilgrimage to see, would you read it?
Well, that is what we have here!
Therefore, I have decided to drop anchor, and do some deep sea diving in this text.
To guide me through the journey will be Dr. Darryl DelHousaye. Dr. DelHousaye is the President of Phoenix Seminary, and was kind enough to give me a copy of his new book to review.
Now trust me, by review, I am not intending to give my "review" in the sense that a critic might make. I am not qualified to make such a statement. Nonetheless, I am a reasonably intelligent guy, have great trust in Darryl's heart, and intend to give this book a thorough read, and share it with you here.
My hope, in doing so, is that I might better understand my Creator, bring honor to Dr. DelHousaye's many years of theological study, and perhaps convince you that this book should be on your shelf.
Please join me as I journey through "The Personal Journey of Solomon: The Secrets of Kohelet", in the coming days, and weeks.
