Louisville, Kentucky - Dr. Albert Mohler is reporting, on his facebook page, that his home has suffered a fire this evening.
From Dr. Mohler:
"First big truck arrives. The fire started when workers repairing woodwork accidentally set fire to the roof and underlying structures. Within minutes, the upper floor was filled with smoke and the fire was working toward the inner spaces of the house."
"The fire was located over the rear porch, in the upper roof area.
Firefighters started pushing through the roof, and then started massive
load of water."
"Firefighter first on scene at the roof looks for origin of flames. The
excellent professionals of the Louisville Fire Department used infrared
cameras to seek heat sources within the ceilings, roof, and walls."
Dr. Mohler continues with 5 more photographs, but thankfully the damage is limited to water and smoke damage.
It is certainly unfortunate that the fire was started by workers, but we are all thankful that the damage was limited.
I suspect we will see a nice long blog post from Dr. Mohler tomorrow on all this excitement in his family.
