J. I. Packer is one of the sages of the evangelical church. I first learned about him in my high school youth group after he wrote the book, "Knowing God".
This book was a critical success and launched him into the spotlight. It seems that Dr. Packer is back in the world spotlight as his parish is about to leave the Anglican church over the issue of same-sex marriages and unions.
